For 13 years, Scratch stood by our side through life’s highs and lows. He had a way of knowing exactly when we needed a nudge of encouragement or a quiet moment of comfort. With heavy broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Scratch. Scratch, who was not just a pet but a cherished member of our family. Scratch crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a lifetime of unconditional love, laughs, and companionship. Scratch came into our lives at just six weeks old. From the very beginning, it was clear that he was not like any other Chow Chow. Scratch was a unique soul, full of warmth and personality that defied all stereotypes of his breed. While many may think of Chow Chows as aloof, Scratch was a loyal, playful, and deeply affectionate companion who never failed to brighten our days. You were truly amazing my dear friend. Everyday you are not here my heart breaks.
Scratch had a special love for going to the dog park.
The pond was his favorite spot, and nothing made him happier than that plank into the cool water, sitting on top of rocks like the king he truly was. We will forever miss you. His fluffy mane, soulful eyes, and signature Chow smile made him impossible to resist—and those who met him were always struck by his gentle and loving nature. Though my baby, Scratch’s, paws no longer tread this earth, his spirit will forever walk beside us. His memory will live on in the countless stories, cherished photos, and the indelible pawprints he left on all our hearts. Scratch, you were so much more than a dog—you were, my protector, and my best friend.
Thank you for the joy and love you brought into my life. You will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure. Run free, sweet Scratch, until we meet again.
